The Proper Standards in Endometriosis Care: Focused Surgery & Holistic Healing

Written by Restore Center For Endometriosis | April 3, 2025

Endometriosis as a disease requires a surgeon who is completely focused on removing it, and patients with endometriosis deserve a surgeon fully committed to serving them.

More and more, women are demanding education around their overall and reproductive health.  While one in 10 women suffer with endometriosis, often driving unexplained infertility, it takes an average of 10 years of seeking support and answers to receive a diagnosis.

Often times the diagnosis comes with temporary, band-aid treatments such as hormone suppression and pain medications, which do not address the root-cause of the disease and often do not alleviate suffering.

This process leaves women feeling as though they have no control over their bodies-causing debilitating pain and impacting simple daily tasks, such as going on a walk, and as well as major life milestones, like the decision to have children.

"Endometriosis sufferers are worthy of the highest standard of medical care, including the opportunity to assess, understand, and improve their overall and reproductive health!"

Women are worthy of the highest standard of medical care, including the opportunity to assess, understand, and improve their overall and reproductive health!

We are here to redefine and revolutionize endometriosis treatment!

We are a part of the healthcare revolution aiming to change the way we do wellness!

Using a holistic, yet innovative, patient-centered approach empowers women to restore their health and fertility while embracing nutrition and lifestyle habits which support the body’s natural ability to heal.

This journey back to the roots of healing does not abandon modern medicine, rather, we use revolutionary technologies, comprehensive medical education, and the foundations of food as medicine to address endometriosis and infertility at the root.

In a Restorative Reproductive Medicine approach to wellness and fertility, we offer a ROOT CAUSE treatment for the underlying diseases and conditions that affect the patient’s quality of life, sexual functioning, and fertility chances. By optimizing these conditions, wellness and fertility often BOTH improve.

Offering the new gold standard for optimizing the anatomy, optimal excision surgery is achieved by LAPEX (laparoscopic excision), a minimally invasive surgical process of removing ALL the tissue that is suspected to be endometriosis, in whatever form - including subtle and atypical, and wherever found. Optimal excision is then combined with adhesion prevention techniques, for best results.

In looking systematically, with near contact laparoscopy at all areas of the peritoneum, pelvis, intestines, bowels, rectum, and thoracic cavity, and supporting adhesion prevention, our decade-long research shows one-and-done excision surgery for endometriosis a possibility.

In using this treatment approach the need for repeat surgery after excision is remarkably low, as compared to historical rates of repeat surgery by ablation.

Additionally, women are seeking education on alternatives to the status-quo of hormone suppression, hormonal birth control, hormone injections to stimulate ovulation, and costly, and often physically and emotionally daunting assisted reproductive technologies, including IVF.

Through modern fertility awareness-based methods, women are empowered to track their menstrual cycle through observable biological signs such as body temperature, cervical fluid, and hormone production. These evidence based methods provide education and access to life-changing, low-cost options to all couples.

Combining these methods with Functional Medicine we look at the person as a whole, understanding the interconnectivity of living with chronic disease. Endometriosis impacts every aspect of women’s lives-physical bodies, mental health, sleep, relationships, schedules, finances, and more. By focusing on nutrition, hydration, supplementation, physical activity, and mental health, we aim to reduce overall inflammation, chronic pain, endometriosis recurrence, infertility and/or recurrent miscarriage while supporting the results of our optimal excision surgery.

Encouraging women to make small, sustainable lifestyle upgrades our patients are able to control more than they have ever been led to believe!

  • Prioritize eating whole, high-quality, organic foods-plenty of protein and veggies!  Limit processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol
  • Stay hydrated!  Your body needs ½ its weight in ounces of water each day to properly detox, so, if you weigh 200lbs you need 100oz of water
  • Get at least 5 minutes (more is better!) of sunlight each morning and add in grounding-placing your bare feet on the earth
  • Drink at least 8oz of warm water each morning—soothing and supports detoxification
  • Soak in a warm Epsom salt bath, sip hot tea, and/or listen to calming music
  • Get out in nature, pray, meditate, practice gratitude, journal, take deep breaths
  • Get at least 30 minutes of active daily movement focusing on yoga, walking, biking, and swimming and other low-impact, gentle exercises
  • Stick to a sleep/wake schedule in a cool, dark environment with no screens or distractions

In taking a comprehensive approach to women’s health, using root-cause excision and adhesion prevention, and avoiding band-aid alternatives, Restorative Reproductive Medicine aims to diagnose and treat underlying hormonal and other imbalances, restore health where possible, and improve women’s health, fertility, and quality of life!

RESTORE your health, happiness, fertility, and LIFE!
