This study found that women who underwent optimal excision surgery for endometriosis had a much lower rate of repeat surgeries (2.5%) compared to historical ablation methods. The research also showed no strong link between hormonal suppression and disease progression, suggesting that medication alone may not prevent endometriosis from worsening.
