Women and couples facing infertility have spoken!
New polling from The Heritage Foundation and JLL Partners has found that 54% of Americans want to prioritize solving the ROOT CAUSES of infertility while only 6% want to prioritize using IVF as a first-line treatment.
Unexplained infertility is NOT a diagnosis and bypass options are not acceptable!
Our Restorative Reproductive Medicine community hears you and at the RESTORE Center for Endometriosis, Dr. Patrick Yeung and team are proud to be leading the paradigm shift towards root cause healing!
The status quo of treating endometriosis, infertility, and women’s reproductive diseases with band aid therapies such as hormonal suppression and chemical menopause in an attempt to mask pain, and bypass therapies including IUI and IVF, is not satisfactory for women!
What is Restorative Reproductive Medicine?
Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) is an evidenced-based medical specialty in which we focus on identifying and treating the root causes of infertility, hormonal imbalance, and menstrual cycle dysfunction.
Rather than suppressing symptoms with hormones or jumping to IVF, we investigate and correct the imbalances that interfere with reproductive function. Our root cause approach to healing infertility and reproductive health challenges works with the body to promote true healing and support natural fertility.
As a leading endometriosis excision surgeon and Restorative Reproductive Medicine practitioner, Dr. Yeung understands that endometriosis is a significantly underdiagnosed and undertreated disease.
Couples facing infertility deserve a comprehensive plan of care including:
- A thorough evaluation with ultrasound imaging to look at organ structure, presence of cysts, and to aid in surgical planning, as well as the biopsy of tissue suspected to be endometriosis, which is the gold standard for diagnosing endometriosis
- A diagnosis of underlying diseases with education around restorative treatment options
- Targeted hormonal evaluation and support with education on fertility tracking methods and understanding the bodies signs of fertility, including cervical mucus, to pinpoint ovulation and increase chances of natural fertility
- A doctor with the surgical mindset to remove all disease at its roots and, rather than focusing on the end result of fertility, focuses on optimizing the patient’s overall health to result in natural fertility
- Education around metabolic health including how inflammation, the gut microbiome, and hormonal imbalances as well as thyroid, adrenal, and immune health impact your chances at natural fertility
- Empowerment through our Functional Medicine approach to reduce inflammation, heal leaky gut, balance blood sugar, support hormone balance, and achieving true healing
The goal? To restore the natural function of the body and create the healthiest possible environment for natural fertility and lifelong wellness!
We understand that wellness and fertility are linked-the better a woman feels the better their chances for achieving pregnancy and delivering a healthy baby. When we provide women with answers, treat underlying conditions, and work to achieve hormone balance and overall wellness, we see rates of natural fertility increase significantly.
While IVF may lead to a desired outcome of fertility, it does not restore a woman’s physiology and anatomy or treat the root causes of infertility. Additionally, success with IVF is significantly less likely when endometriosis and other reproductive diseases are present and left untreated, resulting in the woman continuing to live a life of chronic pain and illness.
Studies have also shown that patients who have experienced IVF failure can achieve natural fertility when using Restorative Reproductive Medicine rather than continued cycles of IVF. As an alternative to IVF, RRM puts the couple’s health and relationship at the forefront, reduces the mother’s risk with IVF-related medications, has a lower risk of twins or multiples which can lead to higher-risk pregnancies, and can provide a significant cost savings to families.
The RESTORE Center for Endometriosis and Restorative Reproductive Medicine
Dr. Yeung and his wife, Dorothy, founded the RESTORE Center for Endometriosis in Saint Louis, Missouri to give back and pay forward what they received-the gift of natural fertility.
Dorothy experienced painful periods throughout her entire life, and, of course, was told this was normal. After a year of trying to conceive naturally Dorothy had the revelation, “maybe I have endometriosis”, and went on to have a series of surgeries to remove the disease and prevent adhesions.
While Dorothy and Dr. Yeung understand that not every story of infertility turns out the way theirs did, with a family of 5 children through adoption and natural fertility, they also understand that women deserve compassionate care, a life free of pain, and a chance at the dream of having children.
Dorothy is the first to say, “if a woman is not getting pregnant there should be a reason why”.
Infertility is a sign of underlying chronic conditions which may include any combination of:
- Endometriosis
- Adenomyosis
- PCOS
- Blocked fallopian tubes
- Fibroids
- Polyps
- Hormonal imbalances
- Anovulation-ovaries fail to release an egg during the menstrual cycle
- Genetic disorders
- Autoimmune conditions
- Environmental and lifestyle factions
- Male factor infertility including challenges with sperm production and quality as well as underlying health conditions
- Other underlying undiagnosed diseases
Endometriosis isn’t just a pelvic condition. It’s a whole-body inflammatory disease that affects hormonal signaling, gut health, immune function, and pain regulation. That’s why symptom suppression techniques like birth control and medically induced menopause do not work—and often delay true healing.
For decades the status quo surgical treatment of endometriosis has been to get “enough” of the disease via ablation, cauterization, and other archaic methods which do not remove the disease and leave women in pain and repeating surgery every 2 years on average.
Dr. Yeung and your RESTORE Endo team are setting the new GOLD standard in treatment for endometriosis with our dedication to:
- One & Done Endometriosis Excision Surgery
- Optimizing Anatomy to Support Natural Fertility and Prevent Adhesions
- Avoiding Band-Aid and Bypass Options such as IVF
- Promoting Hormone Balance + Healing through Nutrition + Lifestyle with a Food is Medicine Approach
Having performed over 4000 endometriosis excision surgeries Dr. Yeung has developed a 3-pronged approach to treating women with endometriosis and is proving that ONE AND ONE surgery is possible and should be the goal of all Centers of Endometriosis.

The Future of Endometriosis and Restorative Reproductive Medicine
It is important to understand that this level of care does not come without challenges.
Constraints such as the time required, the absence of appropriate insurance coverage and coding, a lack of adequate training and education to provide surgeons with expertise needed to truly address endometriosis at its roots which has led to a severe shortage of endometriosis excision surgeons, all stand in the way of the healthcare women deserve.
With this, Dr. Yeung is working vigorously to champion the RESTORE Act, (Reproductive Empowerment and Support through Optimal Restoration) a holistic fertility policy which aims to treat the root causes of infertility while expanding research, education, and training around treating reproductive health conditions. As a part of his continued advocacy for Restorative Reproductive Medicine and root cause healing for endometriosis and infertility, Dr. Yeung was recently quoted in an article from the global Catholic media network, EWTN.
In June of 2025 Dr. Yeung spoke at the Women's Health & Fertility event sponsored by the MAHA Institute and The Heritage Foundation in Washington DC.
Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, who introduced the RESTORE Act says, “so many couples of today’s childbearing-aged generations face an uphill battle with fertility struggles that are complex and unique to every woman and man. The holistic fertility policy promoted through the RESTORE Act aims to treat the root causes of infertility, many of which stem from chronic conditions and environmental factors that are the focus of President Trump’s MAHA movement”.
As Dr. Yeung says, “"Endometriosis sufferers are worthy of the highest standard of medical care, including the opportunity to assess, understand, and improve their overall and reproductive health!"
In Restorative Reproductive Medicine we focus on comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of infertility and reproductive health challenges by addressing the underlying root causes to restore natural fertility rather than bypassing (IVF) or suppressing (hormonal medications) the disease.
Our 3-pronged approach to healing and natural fertility has empowered thousands of women to heal from endometriosis, adenomyosis, hormone imbalances, and "unexplained" infertility.
In taking a comprehensive approach to women’s health, Dr. Yeung and all Restorative Reproductive Medicine providers aim to diagnose and treat underlying drivers of disease and RESTORE women’s health, fertility, and quality of life!
Dr. Yeung walks with his patience throughout their endometriosis and infertility journey, telling them, “You are not forgotten, God has a plan”.
